Z-PEEK
Z-PEEK Space Grade Polymer
Strong radiation resistant filament
Z-PEEK is one of the strongest polymers on the planet with strength-to-weight ratio comparable to stainless steel.
Description
Radiation-resistant space grade polymer
Z-PEEK is one of the strongest polymers on the planet with strength-to-weight ratio comparable to stainless steel. It can withstand extreme temperatures from - 100 °C to 250 °C and retain its properties even after years of exposure to Low Earth Orbit environment. The material is also particularly resistant to abrasion. Stress tests with PEEK-steel gear pairs shown that PEEK gears could withstand over 22 million cycles at 1600 RPM. Z-PEEK can be also cooled down with liquid nitrogen to cryogenic temperatures reaching -196 °C.
